Russell Brand leaped to the defence of Geri Halliwell when a heckler at his show asked him: “Is she ginger all over?”
The comic replied, “Don’t be dirty.”
And he said of Ginger Spice: “She’s not got hair on her back. She’s not like an orange Yeti.
“She’s not like some hairy Jaffa Cake bear. She’s still a person, she’s still an actual person.”
Russell Brand was seeing another girl — just as Geri announced she was having a “whirlwind” romance with him.
Yesterday humiliated Geri looked grim-faced on a park outing with daughter Bluebell Madonna, six, in North London.
Brand’s new girl is budding actress Aimee Levoir, 24, a student at drama college RADA.
But at the comic’s gig on Tuesday night in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, fans were just interested in Ginger Spice.
He begged them not to ask about her, fearing he would reveal intimate secrets. But he raised a laugh by adding: “Look, give me a year and I’ll turn it into good material for you.”
After the gig Brand travelled back to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, where he spent Monday night with Aimee.
Last night he performed to raise funds for a local rehab centre. On the way he pranced about with a troupe of morris dancers while Aimee hid in the back of his Mercedes.
