This is the woman accused of breaking into the house of Simon Cowell, armed with half a brick.
Leanne Zaloumis, 29, was pictured as a fresh-faced wannabe beauty queen.
It was in stark contrast to her appearance in court last week when her hair was unkempt and she wore a baggy grey sweatshirt.
Now she is charged with aggravated burglary after a break-in at pop mogul Cowell’s $17 million London mansion.
He came face-to-face with an intruder in his bathroom, locked himself in a bedroom and called police.
They found the woman lying on the top shelf of a walk-in wardrobe. Zaloumis, of Catford, South East London, is due to appear in court again in June.
But her half-brother, Jason Zaloumis, 36, insisted: “Leanne is not that kind of person. She is an upstanding, outstanding woman. She was brought up by a well-to-do father who doted on her. She had everything. None of us lacked for anything.”
She comes from a prominent family. Her grandfather, a transport tycoon, was a member of the Zambian parliament and her aunt is a leading lawyer.
Jason said: “Leanne was a clever child who always got good marks at school. And she was sporty.
“My father raised her until her last years of high school. But when he was involved in a bad accident, Leanne’s mother took her and her brother back to the UK.”
