Smashing Pumpkins front-man Billy Corgan is a massive fan of professional wrestling.
While SP fans await a possibility of a band reunion, Billy’s interest’s lay elsewhere. He has put a fair amount of money into America’s second biggest wrestling organisation, the TNA (Total Non-stop Wrestling).
The TNA have been losing a lot of their wrestlers to their more successful rival, WWE. But only recently, Billy Corgan has requested for a temporary injunction against the TNA, which has been refused. It just meant that a major company wanting to make any business decisions, or sale of the company, would have to be approved by Billy.
TNA are still operational but could go under at any moment.
Billy had loaned the company, as said above, a fair amount of money. If the TNA cannot make the repayments, then action can legally be taken.
I can’t see the Pumpkins reforming whilst all this is going on…but, stranger things have happened.
