Original Sugarbabes are back together

The original  Sugababes line-up have sealed a million-pound record deal to kick-start  their comeback.

Mutya Buena, 26, Siobhan Donaghy, and Keisha Buchanan, both 27, have signed  with Polydor Records — home to Take That and Lady GaGa.

But the girls will not be able to use the Sugababes name…despite the current  line-up featuring none of the original members.

An industry source said: “They’ve been working  on new material all year with some high-profile songwriters and  producers.

“The label have started to pick tracks they think will help them be as big  as they once were.”

The girls formed the band in 1998 — scoring a hit with Overload.

Siobhan left in 2001 and was replaced by Heidi Range. Mutya quit in 2005 and  Amelle Berrabah came in. In 2009 final original babe Keisha left, to be  replaced by Brit Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen.

But last year the new  Sugababes scrapped their album plans.

Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan are yet to decide on a new name. The source said:  “This is a huge sign the industry thinks they’ve still got it.”
