Angry Sandra Ellis, 35, stripped naked when officials refused to let her take her dog into a polling station in Blackpool, England.
“There’s nobody who could look after my dog while I’m inside – animals have got to have rights as well,” the former chef said.
Council staff attempted to cover Miss Ellis with a coat, but she flung it off and continued her protest.
She was ordered to pay a fine of up to $130.
A member of staff at the polling station, who did not wish to be named, said, “It’s a general rule that all animals are not allowed in unless they are a guide dog or a support dog.”
Police were called and she was arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour.
