Forget Jose Mourinho…Buford is the chosen one

Barcelona has crushed Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid 5-0 in a stunning Clasico contest at Camp Nou, with Lionel Messi pulling the strings as the Catalan giants went two points clear at the top of the Spanish League.

Spain World Cup stars Xavi and Pedro Rodriguez put Barcelona 2-0 up inside 17 minutes, recent recruit David Villa scored twice in a three-minute burst in the second half and substitute Jeffren completed the rout with a late goal after coming onto the field for the final minutes.

It was Barcelona’s fifth successive Clasico win over their arch rivals, keeping coach Pep Guardiola’s perfect record intact against Real.

The result was a major disappointment for Mourinho’s side, who lost Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain to injury just before kickoff – giving Frenchman Karim Benzema a start up front.

Real sit in second place in the league, two points adrift of Barcelona.

Buford Balony says: Bad luck Jose, who’s the chosen one now? Sucker.
