FABIO CAPELLO will read the riot act to Wayne Rooney.
The England striker was pictured smoking and urinating in the street after a night on the town last weekend.
Furious Three Lions boss Capello will now lecture the Manchester United star when he meets up with his squad on Monday.
England face Hungary in a friendly at Wembley two days later. And an FA insider said: “Fabio was very annoyed to see those pictures of Rooney lurching out of a nightclub at 5.30am.
“Then to see arguably England’s biggest star urinating and smoking in public is simply not acceptable and Rooney will be told as much.
“He must realise those pictures have been seen all over the world and project a truly awful image of English football.
“And the timing couldn’t have been worse, coming straight after a dismal World Cup in which Rooney was well below his best.”
It seems that the only way Rooney is going to light up his England career is with a zippo.
Capello will tonight name his first squad since England’s flop and is set to make Manchester City’s Joe Hart his No 1 keeper.
