Soccer star breaks leg…whilst playing golf

Swansea City defender Alan Tate has broken his left leg in a freak accident…while playing golf.

Tate was a passenger in a buggy at a south Wales golf club on Sunday afternoon when the driver lost control.

The former Manchester United, 28, trainee was diagnosed with a broken tibia in his left leg after being taken to Morriston Hospital by ambulance.

Tate is in his 10th season with the Swans.

He has played more than 300 games for the club, and was on the bench for Saturday’s goalless draw at home to Sunderland.

Buford Balony says: Does this prove Golf is tougher than soccer?
