Socceroos are top 20 in the FIFA world rankings

Australia rise two places and are the top-ranked Asian country.

The Socceroos are also top seed in a 10-nation draw for the final round of 2014 World Cup qualifying.

World and European champions Spain remain top of FIFA’s rankings, while the Netherlands have regained second spot and Argentina return to the top 10.

The Dutch, who beat England 3-2 in a friendly recently, retook the No.2 spot from Germany.

Uruguay were at No.4, followed by Brazil who rose two places to fifth. England and Portugal each fell one place to sixth and seventh respectively.

Argentina climbed three places to No.8 and Italy and Croatia completed the top 10.

Ivory Coast were the highest African team at No.15.
